How to Get Rid of Period Cramps, Menstrual Cramps and PMS Naturally
Period cramps and PMS are big issues for many of my female patients, often negatively impacting their lives. I've talked before about the importance of detoxification and keeping your body always free of toxins.
One of my best suggestions is to make sure you're getting enough nutrients, from a whole food source. Eating clean food, free from preservatives and fillers, goes a long way to controlling your cramps and your PMS right before your cycle. That means including a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet. My patients who did this were able to alleviate much of the really bad cramping.
It's not always easy in our busy lives to include all the fresh fruits and vegetables we need, that's why I created my VitaFruits & Veggies. These are my whole food supplements that contain all the super foods you need, together they provide an extra seven servings of fruits and vegetables daily.
Exercise is another vital part of keeping the cramps at bay. Often, with our sedentary lives, we spend our days sitting at work, sitting in the car, sitting in front of the TV in the evening. It's so important to get our bodies moving, with both cardiovascular exercises and strength training. Yoga is ideal to help with menstrual cramps as it helps keep the whole pelvic area in check and in balance. Moving your body can go a long way to getting rid of your cramps and PMS.
Keeping your hormones balanced is also very important. I created VitaWomen's Formula to allow you to do that naturally, with no synthetic fillers or ingredients.
Hot compresses can really help, especially castor oil packs. I've done another video here on the VitaLife channel explaining how to make a castor oil pack in more detail. By using the pack on the abdomen, you're getting the circulation going and helping calm down the cramps. You put it on for about 45 minutes when you're experiencing the cramping and you''ll get wonderful relief.
When you watch the video, you'll see that I show you some acupressure points that can help as well. Acupressure activates the spleen meridian which has a lot to do with blood flow. The "chi" or energy in this channel often gets congested when we're experiencing menstrual cramps. Acupressure acts to relieve this congestion and gets the chi moving. By finding the right points in your body and massaging them, you can get the energy flowing and thereby help relieve the cramps.
Also, monitor your magnesium; if you tend to crave chocolate, it could indicate that you have a magnesium deficiency. It's easy to supplement with my VitaTree Magnesium throughout your menstrual cycle and all the time.
By using natural techniques and products, you can alleviate your period cramps and PMS. Your good health truly lies in your hands. Make the right choices and you too will soon be living the vibrant Vita Life!
